Urgent from Citizen Ben
This morning's Citizen Ben post is shorter than usual, but I will ramble for you
On a light note this morning, Joe Scarborough of The Morning Joe on MSNBC alludes to The Presidential Drinking Game! Citizen Ben is not yet viral, please share Citizen Ben posts and podcasts, and you can also gift a subscription.
I understand Jake Tapper is trying to sell his new book, but I am sick of legacy and right-wing media trying to soil the Presidency of Joe Biden, he is a former president; this is right out of President Trump’s playbook. Like a pickpocket, he says, “Look over there,” as he steals money from your wallet and takes your rights.
The news cycle is on Biden when the focus should be on what is really in the budget and Medicaid cuts, or answer a slew of questions like Trumps failing mental health, Trump administration's destruction of federal agencies, and how they are or are not trying to correct the mess DOGE made, what data did Elon Musk steal while he rummaged through government servers, gold is $3,309.00 per ounce how much did the gold leaf makeover of the White House cost for taxpayers or sending immigrants to jails outside of the continental United States…
This is May already, what is the Democrat message for 2025, the status of the shrinking “middle class” in America, what waste, fraud, and abuse was found anywhere (show us the proof), why did white South Africans get golden tickets to come to the United States, why are tax cuts still going to the wealthy, the list goes on.
There is so much happening at the same time. I have been blowing my proverbial and literal whistle since the 1990s, but I have never feared for the democracy of the United States as I do now.

In closing, my condolences to Rep. Gerry Connelly's family on word of his passing this morning. Gerry was the Democratic Representative of Virginia.
Until storm troopers bust down the door, Citizen Ben will say it like it is, with no bullshit.
Thank you, Ben
Also, I’m very sad at the loss of Gerry Connelly. He did a fine job on Oversight of challenging the Republican WH administration & DOGE these last months. I’m happy he had the opportunity.
I hope this piece is widely read because last night Republicans held a 1AM session for the Big Bullshit Billionaire Bill.
Tapper is dead to me. He was better as a Salon writer all those years ago.
